I hope I could help many Alpha Users that have trouble getting the “Get more space” notification.
WHAT IS THE BUG
“Get more space” button from Account & data → File storage → Remote storage doesn’t show up when you add too large file from a low storage account.
HOW TO REPRODUCE IT
- Having let say 50MB storage on your account
- Upload a 1GB file
- From what I see, uploading a too large file will not display the “Get more space” button.
But I haven’t tester many size to know what range prevent the display. - You have to get closer to the 1GB limit with files that are smaller to almost reach the 1GB limit, but it could be 900MB file.
- Then, you have to you must exceed this limit by adding smaller files size, let’s say 10MB files.
- If not, adding large files will never display the “Get more space” button.
THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Adding large file from a low storage should display the “Get more space” button.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT
I don’t know if this bug applies to Pre-Beta users too. I guess it should not since they should be limited to 1GB if I understood the perks.
