Entry space not displayed at entry

What’s The Bug?

My entry space (which is the legacy entry space before entry space could be deleted in v.0.44) is no longer displayed at entry, despite it being the “entry space” as displayed in individual space setting.

A different private space is displayed at entry, despite it being “Private space” in individual space setting. This private space is the first listed space in general space setting.

How To Reproduce It

  1. Use Anytype as normal (Didn’t export and re-import entry space after v.0.44 update)
  2. Open Anytype, or refresh Anytype, or open a new window of Anytype (Cmd+N)
  3. Entry space is not displayed as entry space :lady_beetle:
  4. Try re-ordering space in the space and widget sidebar (nothing changed; although I am not sure this is intended to enable change of entry space)

The Expected Behavior

Entry space as entry space

Additional Context

  • Did I miss/ignore some settings? Is there a current way to switch entry space, other than export and import?

Why do you think that the entry space is supposed to be shown when you start the app? The last used space one is supposed to be shown instead.

Right… my bad, I didn’t reason the situation accurately.

Although I think this is the current behaviour by design, what you described is still not the current behaviour.

After start up, Anytype doesn’t show last used space, rather last switched space.

  • In other words, if I have two windows, I switched to Space B on window 1, but then I continued to work on Space A which was previously opened in window 2. Space B is the space shown when start up.
  • And so I got confused why Space A is not showing up after startup. It always show Space B.

This seems like a different issue. I think I maybe even remember someone else already reporting it. Can you create a separate bug report for it if you can’t find a duplicate?
