WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
If you save a bookmark to anytype, it auto-downloads the open-graph image and the favicon.
Some pages don’t have optimized open graph images, going up to 3 MB.
Most people on the free plan have 100 MB.
Thats not a lot of saved bookmarks. And frustration. And a user behavior, that will avoid saving links as bookmarks – therefore choosing a clunky way to quickly save a link (and then missing out on auto-fill options for title and description).
Let us disable, or at least delete these open-graph images!
Literally I can’t even delete them
It’s cool that youtube videos get a thumbnail. Cool.
But in some cases I don’t want that. Because it’s too much space, taken by thumbnails!
If these images would show up on “Images” and they’d be deletable: that would be fine too! But they neither show up on Images – you have to go to Channel Settings / Remote Storage to see them, and even then if you click “permanently delete” they won’t delete, they just disappear forever, but are still in the system and in the bookmark as a thumbnail.
