Copy-and-Paste from HTML or Markdown tables or Excel into Simple Tables

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I often have documents in Google Docs or webpages that I want to import into Anytype to work on and store, many of which includes tables I want to also import along with that content. However, as importing data into simple tables with copy-and-paste isn’t available yet, doing so manually is tedious and manual.

Describe the solution you’d like
It’d be great if Anytype could parse table data (in multiple formats, such as HTML, Markdown and Excel) stored in the clipboard and paste it into a Simple Table.

Describe alternatives you’ve considered
It’s always been possible to manually move by hand from a source into Anytype, but that’s tedious and not ideal.

In my case this is a must, copy tabular data or excel as a table in AnyType.

Any updates on this? Would love to be able to quickly import tables :slight_smile:

Regarding Excel spreadsheets, I see that it already works.
I can also copy ChatGPT results with tables from the browser and paste them into Anytype.

You’re correct! I just checked, thank you, this is helpful; however HTML tables still don’t work. I asked chatgpt to generate a table with example data which I was able to copy and paste fine into Anytype, but generating the same template in HTML fails to paste.

I just copied a range of cells in MS Excel and pasted into AT and I am seeing ‘|’ characters with no tabular formatting.
This capability would be huge for me.
