What about cooperating Anytype with other open source projects like Libre Office or Signal?

Wouldn’t it be great if we could export our channels / spaces as ODF? Or import ODF files to Anytype? Maybe the doc change management system could be helpful for collaboration in Anytype, too.

I think with all the. docx backlashes in Europe, ODF will become an important player in the document landscape.

And, wouldn’t it make sense to combine Anytype with the signal protocol?

Maybe there are a lot more projects that could be interesting.

There are so much potentials in the information infrastructure of Anytype. That’s why I posted a discussion about Anytype and social media and the potential to cooperate with Haven. The venture of Anytype could be very interesting and helpful to future development of Anytype.

ODF though.. isn’t markdown a more open-source and accessible format? Is there a reason why you prefer ODF?

In terms of Signal and Libre Office, I doubt well-developed software would want to advance with a beta software and a competitor.. Signal and Libre Office have already got their own market and Anytype is doing its own technical thing on encryption, peer-to-peer, local-only and more.There are a lot to be considered in terms of cooperation. business models, technical compatibility, practicality etc.

I think we as community can offer suggestions but it will ultimately be up to team’s decision. If cooperations do happen though, we can celebrate together.

Cooperation is always great. But they’re hard to pull-off because of differing priorities, weighted benefits, etc. Always open to suggestions. :slight_smile:
