Am i missing something or is there no means to create an individual new collection inside of another collection without creating a separate collection first?
This is such a simple function i figured i must just be missing it which is why i haven’t made a feature request yet.
The only alternative I’ve found is changing the default type for the entire collection every time i want to make a new collection which is equally cumbersome.

But I agree, it’s not exactly simple…
There really isn’t an option to choose the type of object to create (if you want to create an object other than the default one)
Right now there isn’t a direct way to choose Collection when creating a new object inside another collection unless you change the view’s default type first. So the workaround you found is currently the only option.
We agree this is not very convenient. The feature request shared by Shampra in this thread has been passed to our tracker and will be reviewed by the team.
