Building Cross-Patform Anytype client

Hi! I am making new Anytype client, and I want to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

My original motivation was to improve the in-app tablet experience.

Goals for the current app are:

  • Customizable list view and calendar view
  • Full desktop-level object editor
  • Inline drawing/handwriting support

The app is written in Rust with Dioxus, and runs natively using WebView. Official anytype-heart is compiled and runs inside the app just like other clients do.

It is still very early in development and needs a lot more features, but I want to make sure I get the UX right from the start.

  • What are other must-have features for Android?
  • If you have experience with Rust/Dioxus, thoughts on design and architecture please share.

Looking forward to see what you spin up.

Great! Lack of the Calendar View on Android is a major pain-point!

I’m badly missing calendar view on Android too.

Update: Capacities has just added a nice calendar view to the latest version of its Android app.
