What’s The Bug?
This has happened several times over the last couple of days. I’ll create many objects in a set to keep track of events and fill out the relations, and everything will be fine. I’ll edit some of them a couple of times to add new information, which will also appear okay. In some, I edited the original template, went through the objects, and re-selected the template, and it appears all of the information is updated without any losses. Then, a couple of hours later, half of the relations and content from the objects will be missing.
In the history, the change where the template was applied and erased all of the relations will show hours after I originally made them, sometimes even the next day.
I’m syncing my space with two machines running Fedora 41, one Macbook, and one Android phone.
The part I find confusing is that after applying the template, all the data gets merged correctly, and the issue only shows up much later. Is it possible that the other devices are receiving the changes where the template is applied and don’t understand how to merge the data?
How To Reproduce It
- Create an object based on a template
- Add information to the object, fill out relations, etc.
- Update the template
- Re-apply the template in the object using the button at the top: “This type has X templates” > select one of the templates
- Edit the object more
- Wait/sync with other devices/phones
- Data is missing
The Expected Behavior
If the template is applied and the data is merged correctly, it should not disappear later.
