Anytype on Product Hunt 💖

Hey, Anytype Community!

On December 10 we’re bringing Anytype to Product Hunt, and if you feel like supporting us, this is one of the simplest ways to help.

Product Hunt is a big visibility moment for us. A bit of activity there on Launch day helps new people discover Anytype, and it gives us a chance to represent what we’re building in front of a wider crowd.

How you can support on Launch day:

  • Leave an upvote;
  • Write a quick comment;
  • Ask a question or share a feedback.

Even a small note makes a real difference – it helps the launch travel further, and we genuinely love reading what you think.

Here’s where you’ll find us

P.S. The launch page will go live on Dec 10 (09:01 CET), but you can already follow the product page now to get a reminder

A quick primer for those who aren’t familiar with Product Hunt:

What is Product Hunt?

Product Hunt is a platform where people discover and share new products – especially apps, tools, and tech. Think of it as a friendly launch stage for the internet.

How does it work?

Each day, new products go live on the homepage. People can upvote, comment, ask questions, and leave feedback. The more activity a product gets that day, the more visible it becomes.

Why are you launching there?

We’re launching Chats on Product Hunt to introduce it to a wider audience and to hear fresh, honest feedback from people who love trying new tools.

How do I use Product Hunt?

Visit producthunt.com and create a profile. Browse the launches of the day and the community discussions. Add your feedback and encouragement for teams that have just launched, and enjoy discovering new products!

I would love to help, but there is no option to sign up via email. They rely on third-party sites for membership.

Oh, true – I didn’t realise they removed the email option :frowning:
Seems like new accounts now require a third-party login…
Thanks for checking it anyway! :paw_prints:

What’s up with modern app icons?! I thought AT already launched 4 times today.

The description “if slack and notion had a baby” is so lovable, will enjoy watching AnyType continue to build into full striking fruition of that

Although I fear using such a phrase could be dangerous.
Notion and Slack etc. may not be amused if they see it. And they surely will see it …

no legal issues there though. there is no issue with using other product names like this, if you don’t use their IP like logos or similar. it is clearly not a clone of any of those products as well.

I hope so.
As far as I know, at least for Germany, comparative advertising is prohibited.
Using other company’s product name could be enough to get trouble.
But I’m not an expert in such things.

not so in the US. not sure how it is now but in the past you could even say as Pepsi that Pepsi is better than Coca Cola, if it stays vague. Or you could have said that people prefer you more than the other one.
Germany is way more strict.

I created a Product Hunt account 6 years ago, and yes, I voted…

Big thanks to everybody who joined, commented, participated, shared, wrote, replied, received emails, opened emails, clicked, refreshed, tracked the race, cheered from afar, showed up for us and survived this day together with us :yellow_heart:

We welcomed more than 600 new followers & brought more than 2000 people from our community to Product Hunt. We saw so many warm, genuine, detailed and real words from you. Our launch was one of the most engaging – all because of you. We love you!

But the reality is: many of you noticed that your thoughtful comments, reviews and support never even showed up. :crying_cat:
Product Hunt’s AI/algorithms seem to have reduced/hidden a lot of our activity… and unfortunately, there’s basically nothing we can do about it.

@anton put it well when he said that “This is just how the current club world works: a small group decides which algorithm runs, what counts as ‘real,’ and what doesn’t. We’re building towards a future where this is no longer the case.”

And I’m joining @kaye’s words too:
Regardless of this ‘ranking stuff’, we just want to say that the support you have given us has been truly heartwarming & motivating. Thanks everyone! Hopefully we can all continue on this path to better tools to build better societies for many years to come.

Thank you again for being with us – seen or unseen by the algorithm :yellow_heart::see_no_evil_monkey:

@Code-Jack @krst @rzzzn Product Hunt has changed the tagline for us :see_no_evil_monkey:
to “A privacy focused team workspace”

so serious

I still see the old one though

They changed it for the launch.

I would encourage everybody who was dismissed and not counted to go to the product hunt and leave reviews to the product hunt itself. In fact we got around 3000 votes - most of them were not counted. https://www.producthunt.com/products/producthunt
