WHAT IS THE BUG
Anytype Android client provides “New Task”, “New Note” and “New Page” shortcuts.
These shortcuts do not take into account that anytype might be used with different channels.
They create new object in last used space giving no indication which space will be used, which potentially might lead to unintended data leak if user unknowingly creates new object in the wrong channel.
HOW TO REPRODUCE IT
- Place “New Note” shortcut in launcher
- Tap it
It might lead to such outcomes:
- If Anytype was left on channel selection screen then Anytype gets brought to foreground, but even if user selects channel, new note is not created
- Otherwise new object is created in last used channel, but there no indication which channel is used.
THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Anytype should ask first in which channel object should be created, just like with handling sharing content into anytype.
