WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

Allow text and code blocks to be copied on Android when a page is locked.

HOW COULD IT BE DONE?

On Android, when a page is locked, users should still be able to select and copy text or code blocks. This would provide a read-only mode with the ability to extract information easily.

REAL WORLD USE CASES

I used to work with Notesnook, which allows copying text even when editing is disabled. Now, I’m trying to use Anytype’s Note type as a replacement, but I found that if a page is locked on Android, I cannot select or copy text, including code blocks.

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

One possible workaround is to temporarily unlock the page, copy the content, and then lock it again. However, this is inconvenient and disrupts workflow.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

It would be great if Anytype could implement a more flexible lock mode on Android, one that prevents edits but still allows selection and copying of content. This would align with how other note-taking tools handle read-only access.

That would be very helpful if added… It’s gonna be very handy instead of (Unlocking → copying content → Locking object again)
Consider letting users use both, wrap & copy buttons while the object is locked.

Also doing some other stuff as checking/unchecking checkboxes – or a task object while opening it (from inside) instead of the need to go to the collection for example and tick it there – or, unlock the object.

In my case, this feature protects me from accidentally changing the object where I store my passwords (I know this is bad practice).
So it will also be very convenient for me when they add a copy/paste function to a locked object on android.
