Allow non-text blocks at start of callout and highlight

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

To make AnyType callouts compatible with Notion and also more versatile it would be great if they allowed starting with any block (not only text), such as headings or toggle headings, and additionally it would be great for callouts to have an option to show or remove their icon.

HOW COULD IT BE DONE?

ᅟI am not sure of the internals, but textCallout maybe should be changed to blockCallout and redesigned to support starting with any block. It’s not probably an easy thing to do. The icon part seems easier (simply make it display none with css).

REAL WORLD USE CASES

*The main use case if allowing people to import content from Notion without them losing their content or structure. If one block is supported (callouts and quotes for example) they should be supported with the same field or properties as their common Software alternatives, otherewise the import does not work.

For example in my case, I have lots of information in Notion organized via callouts that start with toggle headings and don’t have icons, see the following screenshot.*

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

ᅟThe workaround so far is to leave an empty blank space (the text block) before the heading or block you want to use.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

ᅟThis sole feature (and the same for Quotes) is the only one that is stopping me from migrating all my content from Notion to AnyType and embrace AnyType for good.

Hello, thanks for this feature request. All of these points have already been implemented in the new editor in Anytwo. You can wait until that’s released to try later, as there are many other improvements that go beyond this feature request.

Thank you! Very glad to hear that, looking forward to its release.
