In the space settings/info page, add a button to reindex the content.
REAL WORLD USE CASES
In addition to issues with search reported earlier, I just ran into an issue where a replica downloaded my spaces but the search cannot find a lot of pages by title. I would like to reindex the content because this instance is now useless if I cannot find a page to read or edit.
RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES
Use a different app for PKM.
ADDITIONAL CONTEXT
Based on previous bug reports and the following discussions and troubleshooting, it was determined that the index did not contain the pages at all, hence the search could not produce any meaningful results. I think a simple option to force reindex would be a good workaround until the indexing code is hardened.
Any chance the page you were searching for was in a different space than the one you did the search?
Currently, there is no feature to search across all spaces, unfortunately. Here is a feature request for that: Search across all spaces
Also, I’ve seen some users trying to use the space search box thinking it would search all spaces contents, but it doesn’t work that way. It’s meant to help people that uses lots of spaces find them
The page I was searching for, and not finding, is clearly visible when browsing through the Pages object list.
My suspicion is that it has something to do with the failures in the import process. Manually triggering the reindexing might fix the issue (or not) without dumping the whole space and reimporting hundreds of MB of material.
