Abbility to add lables to edges on graph view

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

i want to have ability to specify metadata and labels for edges in a gtaph
if I create object a and refer object b in in I want to put some context and meaning of this link in a graph view

HOW COULD IT BE DONE?

we could have a metadata specified in text of book etc

REAL WORLD USE CASES

  • it will turn any type to a true PKM and graph like bd
  • it will improve graph view with context and power of visual thinking
  • it will turn relations to more powerful concept

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

as workaround you could create objects that simulate a relations

You can already do something like this by using object relations (the name of the relation will appear in the graph) Were you already aware of that?

Maybe this request is about the specific texts for one edge at a time? Only wanting to label the connection between object A between object B, and A-B alone. Then this might be a function related to Multi-dimensional Relations.

I have a different feature request that might require implementation of this feature. (FR Type / Relation to represent missing Relation) When criticising a literature for not covering a concept, an indicator for marking on the edge itself could be one way to representing anti-relation.

  • An alternative is to have a separate relation specific to this nature of connection.

Contexts of Relation as mentioned in FR Add support for collection-specific relations might also be supportive to texts/symbols on edges.

P.S. Relation is still what fuels my passion for Anytype the most.. not property :face_with_peeking_eye:
