There’s no right or wrong way of doing things, but some work better than others.
I think that what you’re looking for is this:
When designing things, you can’t get everything as desired on the first try. What I suggest you to do is experiment.
One way of doing this:
- export your space and import it in other one, that can be used as a sandbox.
- try something else, by creating movements and such as types
- don’t hesitate to create temporary sets to mass-modify your content
- evaluate if it’s going in the direction you hoped for
- trash the sandbox space when done
In this (official) video, the user reworks her whole space this way. It’s a tad old, so UI may have changed.
In my case, I often use object relations instead of select/multi-select, it all comes to “may I want to add content to ” and “do I want to see backlinks to ”.
