One of them was to have a Tutorial/wiki-style section available upon installation, which would explain and guide newcomers (and even serve as a reference for those who aren’t so new ^^).

That was very similar to my idea of a public wiki for documentation content driven by the community, too.

Another idea could be a community-driven/-supported getting started vault in the gallery.
