Hello! I also am waiting for the option to link objects across spaces. And when multiplayer is implimented, then I want the option to get a notification for who changes what in which object..
Also currently I have to export the whole space and import and then delete the un-needed objects from the imported space. I would like a way to export-import just an object or a few selected object.
And happy new year to the team and the Anytype family.
Love that you are thinking about the users! Sadly I cannot think of any scenario where I want multiple spaces in this way as it is implemented currently.
I initially honestly did not understand that the spaces were per account, and thus were trying VERY hard to find how to āaddā an existing space.
I then understood that the spaces all reside under the same account always.
I donāt want to have āmyā personal account on my work laptop where my personal space or other space is also necessarily accessible.
But I might want to access work space from my personal devices (where I am logged in to my personal account). Equally, in my mind I would like a space shared with my wife but I donāt need to see all her spaces and she does not need to see my work spaces (which would also be legally problematic).
Attaching a space to any account, THAT would be powerful.
Currently, in obsidian I share an account between family+work+personal, but there each āvaultā (space) is individually encrypted with different password so I can have the separation even when the account is the same. I get the feeling a lot of obsidian users are doing it this way to āshareā vaults/spaces with groups of people.
Perhaps if one could have multiple accounts in AnyType and quickly jump between them (where one or more could have itās one pin code of course), then i could make a similar setup.
Working great! I have work and personal separate and plan to bring the family in to collaborate on the personal space once multiplayer is introduced. Keep up the great work.
Yes I use them and I like them, however I hate that I canāt share or move objects between them.

Donāt need them at the moment, but considering using it for work if a setup is possible where my work laptop only has access to the work space but my personal laptop has access to both.

Yes, I used them to test and learn how Anytype works without messing the data I already introduced and imported from Notion. Iām considering using one to be used as import target for everything again as a backup without messing my main space
New thoughts: I wanted to add that in addition to being able to export a single object, or set or collection or multiple selected objects between spaces. I would also like a way to connect objects between spaces.
This can be like giving access to a version of one object to another space. And I get to decide if that space gets access to any update I make to the object.
Global types and relations that are available across spaces.
On that last suggestion, itās quite annoying to have to re-add relations in every space. Itād be really nice to have the ability to mark them as global and then use them everywhere. (This is especially useful when using something like the PARA method in every space.)
