Add a date range / duration / period relation

This one does sting for me. I wouldn’t mind having to revamp the whole space if that meant getting rid of that extra property just to indicate an end date across types. It just doesn’t sit right with me. Oh well.

Just sharing a bit of frustration for this missing feature :person_shrugging:, I mean, at least it would be nice to align the calendar view with what is already implemented in the timeline view to display multi-day events.

As of now, in the calendar view is not possible to display items that span over multiple days. And this makes the calendar kind of useless.

Besides, I think that fetures related to date/time ranges are really important to make the product appealing to teams and business users.

Just sharing my desire for this feature, I would use it for the ‘historical figure’ type I have and it would be a ‘period of activity’ property.
Would be really great to have this feature!

Hi ! I’m new here and hope I do this feature request correctly. I searched and didn’t find one old request for the same idea.

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND

ᅟAdd a date range to an object instead of just a date

HOW COULD IT BE DONE

Have a new type of relationship, date range. Or or have the option to select a date range within the existing relationship.

REAL WORLD USE CASES

Ability to select start and end dates is a plus. I wanted to list the periods of absence for certain members of my production team. Items with a date range will appear within that period (like in this screenshot of Notion, for example). Displaying the number of days would be a bonus.

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

ᅟI have considered adding 2 dates to my object, a start date and an end date, with the date field. But then it will not appear in the future calendar view as a range and it will not be considered as a period of time
