# Why "Anytype" is still the best name for Anytype

This feels to much like a meme name or will have great meme potential. Loosing an image, file or text and people say: Welp, it’s named anyTEMP for a reason lol…

Also, temp is often short for temperary while I feel Anytype is going to be forever to that feels counterintuitive to me.

I said it ones and I will say it again, Anytype is the best name. Keep AnyTwo as a codename during closed testing and when release is ready call it Anytype and make currenty version Legacy Edition (or Anytype LE) while fasing it out.

I feel the name Anytype is pretty strong and well known to change it and while AnyTwo is a really big change internal, external it is less so much. Not hating or in a negative way but it is the same colors, UI is very simular and usecase/usage is the same (but better) so people not following development probably feel it as a huge update of Anytype rather than a new app.

But that’s just my 2 cents.
