When typing an underscore it automatically assumes all should be italic afterwards and the editor can get confused

WHAT IS THE BUG

When typing (technical information) that requires underscores, the editor is confused. And makes it near impossible to fix the mistakes.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Start typing a sentence like ‘Look at variable created_at’
  2. Now type more following the last word, followed by another variable name e.g. ’ and you should see updated_at changed’
  3. You will see something like the screenshot below

This isn’t solved when using backticks like this, but this seems like an appropriate solution:
