# What is your dealbreaker with Anytype?

For me currently the dealbreaker with Anytype is the lack of polish, overall missing quality of life features and main features feeling unfinished.

All three points are somewhat the same and I know this may sound a bit harsh (I don’t mean to be harsh), but I have no other words for it in English (not my main language).

However many (large) features that are added are often called out as the first version, with promises for more in the (near) future. And those promises seem to not yet come true.

For example:

Sidebar was added in 0.24.0 (februari 2022) and was the first version as said in the patchnotes:

However, I have yet to see the improved version(s), while many topics have been suggesting many things for sidebars.

Another example:

The graph view which in 0.31.0 (februari 2023) got a redesign and again in the patchnotes we see that new functionality will be added soon:

I may have missed it but I have yet to see new functionality added (besides a local graph toggle that feels not in the right place to be functional).

I can name many more examples but this is a long post already and I might be expection to much to soon but it feels that there is a lack of focus on quality of life features. Features other apps seem to add or have in their first versions.

And I am not talking about big features like formulas but small(er) ones like the ability to sort contenct in an object in the sidebar from A-Z or Z-A or last opened. The sets widget is just randomly ordered for example (very annoying no this is not ordered last used or edited for me):

Hope I made my point clear and that I didn’t offend anyone. I really love Anytype and the team and I want this to be the best app I know it can and will be!
