Weird cursor behaviour, characters getting replaced

WHAT IS THE BUG

Also described in this closed and “implemented” bug report.
The text weirdly overwrites characters or… probably reloads because it’s trying to sync?

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Just type for a bit. The recording below has no typos of my own doing.

  2. It seems to happen only when typing in special blocks like lists and names of objects, the entire “Note” type suffers from this.

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

I type and what I type stays.

SYSTEM INFORMATION

  • Device:
    Linux Desktop
  • OS:
    Nobara 37 (Fedora)
  • Anytype Version:
    v.0.32.3

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

It is NOT “implemented”.

I’m sorry I love Anytype but how come it’s such a shtty text editor? It’s base role?

This report has been added to our issue tracker and received by the Development Team.

I can reproduce this bug with a very simple experiment. Version: 0.32.11-beta.

Start typing. With a link in the clipboard, Ctrl-v (paste). Select paste as link.

Now, if you write before the link, the insertion order is scrambled. It is incredibly frustrating. With the cursor after the link, or if paste as text is selected, it works fine.
