@kEbZeCK Thank you for your notice! We haven’t implemented this yet, but plan to do that in the future

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND

When turning an object into another object I would like the object template with all relations being present as well.

HOW COULD IT BE DONE

it could be automatic or by choice though UI button

REAL WORLD USE CASES

On my system any new note is by default a note so I can write directly and afterward organize it. It could be a recipe idea, rough draft as note and later taking time turning into a “recipe” object. When doing it I would expect all relations (like tags for the kind of recipe) being imported as well.

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

Creating directly the desired object type.

YESS!! +14 (out of votes…) Much needed. I would like the option for all create object types to have a quick interface popup with the templates for that object type with the default already selected. You can ‘Return’ to select that default template or ‘Tab’ to select template 2 and so forth. Then turn that selected text into an object.

This problem will be fixed within a couple of releases. We will introduce new UX for templates.
It sould be accessible in this case as well

Hi

I think this is what I’ve been looking for, and currently struggling with a lot since I create objects from text often.

Is this intended for the future @ignatovv? And also having the template selection pop up when changing an object type into another.

Thanks for all your hard work.

We plan to release this updates in 1 or 2 next releases (not including today’s release).
