Have you ever used Date Shortcut or created your own date/journal object? If so, you might have superpowers🪄 and have travelled to another world without noticing.
World 1: Using date shortcut creates a link to a date object (namely the @DateShortcut Object) but it is an object exclusive to the @DateShortcut Object. User cannot link to the specific date object, even with relation type which enables linking to other objects. User also cannot edit the @DateShortcut object.
World 2: If user create a self-defined object as a date object, date shortcut does not work.
World 3: Any date/time relation (manually created relation, or automatically generated relation by Anytype - e.g. creation date) is not referencable and queryable elsewhere.
Make Anytype team the magicians instead of users and create a portal or fusing the worlds back together.
Enrich current date object and make date object similar to other page/note objects, allow blocks, inline set/collection and relations.
Use one system of date and time across the whole Anytype software.
For everyone who uses standard time and wants to do Effective journaling.
Anytype creates parameter and allows users to add this definition to any object so users can manual type in their preferred object
- This is fundamental for calendar and timeline.
- Like Time and DateTime, this also requires consideration between Date Object or DateTime Object.
- For those of you who play RPG or have a need of separate time world e.g. Overlap time of 24+6 in Japan, go ahead and make a feature / plugin request for creating a proper separate date/time world (something like Fantasy Calendar plugin for Obsidian).
- FR merge object would be useful for those who already used their superpowers.
P.S. Wow we have query for backlinks & @ (like set but not usable) for date.
