Unexpected behaviour when pressing ENTER on block with children

Placing the cursor at the start of a block and hitting ENTER moves it down and creates a new empty block on top of it. This is intuitive, as this is what one would expect in a traditional text editor.

However, this doesn’t happen if the existing block has children. For example, if I have this:

And if I place the cursor on the beginning of the parent block and hit ENTER, the parent block is indented to the same level of its children:

To me this is unexpected (and inconsistent with the behaviour for blocks with no children). I would like the block (with its children) to move down, keeping the nesting structure.

This seems to be fixed in the current releases.
