Unable to access the account after deleting the profile object in 0.35.15-beta

WHAT IS THE BUG

After deleting the profile object (the built-in “Human” object) in version 0.35.15-beta, it is no longer possible to access the account.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Update to 0.35.15-beta
  2. Move the profile object to bin
  3. Clear the bin
  4. Quit Anytype
  5. Open Anytype, it displays “failed to run node can’t run service ‘client.space’: init personal space: build tree: tree storage already deleted”

SYSTEM INFORMATION

  • OS:
    Windows 11
  • Anytype Version:
    v.0.35.15-beta

“can’t run service ‘indexer’: failed to get object from node: context canceled” on v0.35.2


“Select account error” on iOS (Anytype v0.25.1)

The same problem.

I remembered that it was unable to be deleted once in 0.35.4.

As a temporary fix, I guess this solution might work:

Install the beta version again, then restore the deleted object through the bin then reinstall v0.35.4

I can’t do that. I can’t log in to my account.

can’t do that, because it’s not possible to enter the void.

You also cannot enter the account on 0.35.4?

On 0.35.2, I can’t. It shows “can’t run service ‘indexer’: failed to get object from node: context canceled”

Neither 0.35.4 nor 0.35.15-beta

This issue has been fixed by the Development Team and will be implemented in an upcoming release.

Great! Can I get my account back?

After I used 0.35.15-beta, I couldn’t log in after switching to the official version 0.35.4. The same is true for iOS.

Thx. I can get my second account back in 0.35.17-beta.

However I still can’t log in on my Android device (version 0.25.13).
It displays that “Almost there! To use this version of the app, please choose the coprrect option below to migrate your account”

I’m now able to log in on 0.35.17-beta, but I still can’t log in on iOS (v0.26.0)

Besides, the account can not be renamed.

Additionally, the iOS version (v0.26.0) has not been fixed. I can still create a new account and then delete the profile object on iOS to damage this account

Same in Android

I still can’t log in on iOS and macos platforms.

Let’s confirm that all of you arrived at this issue by the same sequence of events;

You were running the Pre-release version and then deleted your profile Object?

This fix will be implemented in the upcoming release, so our devs request that you check again after that. The fix should be automatic :crossed_fingers:
