Type 'Template' went to buy milk - neither present in Library nor searchable

WHAT IS THE BUG

The Type ‘Template’ is absent from the Library, and also doesn’t show up in Library search.

One of the indirect ways to reach it:
three dot menu of an Object → choose ‘Use as a template’ → Click on the Type ‘Template’ → Choose ‘Open type’

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Open Library
  2. Open Types tab
  3. Search “Template” in the search bar (it won’t appear)
  4. And, skim through the types in Anytype Library (‘Template’ won’t be there in the list)

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Type ‘Template’ should appear in Library among other types, and should also show up through Library search.

SYSTEM INFORMATION

  • Device:
    Laptop - Acer Helios 300
  • OS:
    Windows 10, 64-bit
  • Anytype Version:
    v.0.32.3

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

I was sleepy  while writing, so apologies for mistakes, if any.

Hi @caperlion, there are some types in AnyType that are hidden by default and that’s intended behavior so this is not a bug.
I wonder myself why is that but I suppose it has something to do with functionality not yet implemented.

If you want you can create a feature request asking for the ability to decide yourself what to show and what not to.

Tip: try creating a set by Relation “creation date” and sort by object type or play with debug tools, you might find that interesting.

Oh I see. That makes sense. Though they don’t seem to have sealed all the paths leading to those “hidden” types.

Well, maybe some ‘Work in Progress’ symbol around the vicinity of such undeveloped regions could be a useful feature.

Oh! I’ll be fiddling with that.

And thanks for the work you do, the maintained cleanliness is much appreciated! :sparkles:
