Task creation shorthand + View Projects and their Tasks in Project sets

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND

When creating Projects create their Tasks with a shorthand notation. And in Project sets be able to view each Project and their Tasks.

HOW COULD IT BE DONE

Create a Project object and simply create lists of checkboxs to create tasks. Nested checkboxes automatically become sub-tasks. (create a special checkbox type for this?)

Viewing a set of these Projects their Tasks are listed below them in smaller text. This allows you to view all your projects and their progress / “next actions” very quickly. This is amazingly helpful with no endless clicking in and out of Projects and Tasks.

REAL WORLD USE CASES

This would be a fast and simple way to outline detailed projects and their necessary tasks. It would be general enough to have many applications that users may have.

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

Just using checkboxes inside a Project to list the needed Tasks. There is no way to view these in Project set views though.

If I get you right, you want to create a “Task” object and just name it, instead of it opening?

And how should the “Sub-Tasks” be handled? Created the same way?

Correct, just name it without opening. Same with the sub-tasks.

Ideally these would be visible in the Project Set view under each project as well.
