Tab in a simple table sometimes jumps two cells instead of one

WHAT IS THE BUG

When you press Tab after typing something in a simple table, the cursor jumps two cells instead of one.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

It is difficult to reproduce, but some steps that may reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to a new page.
  2. Create a simple table.
  3. Type a character in the first cell (it also happens when in other cells).
  4. Press Tab.
  5. The cursor jumps two cells, to the third column.

Video showing the issue can be reproduced with slightly different steps:

This report has been added to our issue tracker and received by the Development Team.

Can confirm on MacBook Pro M1.

Additionally, when selecting cells, sometimes they are not properly taken into focus. That means, you can’t start writing because the cursor is not placed inside. Your have to select the cell another time.

I had the same problem and created a topic on that. https://community.anytype.io/t/using-the-tab-key-to-navigate-the-simple-table-skips-the-2nd-column/8340

However, I cannot predict the occurrence.

It’s effectively impossible to do predictably, I have tried. It only chooses to happen when I’m doing an on-boarding demo :man_facepalming:

This gives me reason to believe we are slowly but surely ironing out most of the wrinkles in Anytype.

Big thanks to all you guys!
