When user has a 5 button mouse or other mouse with “back” button:
Select/highlight blocks on a page, either with left-click and drag, or “back” (side) button click and drag
Use side/“back” button to attempt to click one of the block’s “3 dots” menus to manipulate/adjust it
Menu does not activate
Click anywhere off of text. Normally this deselects selected blocks, but that no longer works.
Use either mouse button to select blocks and notice that block selection is now “stuck” or “additive”, whereas normally if you make a new selection, the old one automatically goes away
The only way to get out of this “stuck” selection state is to left-click one of the block’s menus, or navigate away from the page
This is probably an infrequent problem, but seemed worth reporting.
This still occurs for me, but now with the mouse “Back” button working properly, it is easier to reproduce (or perhaps only reproducible) in situations where there is no back/history. Easiest way to get this is to open a page in a Set, then follow above instructions and it is easily reproducible.
I can’t reproduce my original issue here, so I’d consider this closed (not surprisingly as it’s quite old). Perhaps @gis can test their issue as well, or report if they still see it sometimes.
