Select multiple blocks/texts to copy

Currently you can select and copy texts only within one block, i.e. you cannot select whole page or multiple blocks via Android’s native selector:

This problem can be solved by implementing one of these features:

  1. Select multiple blocks and copy/modify

  2. Add “copy page as text” feature

@bzimor To multi-select blocks, move, copy them, etc. you use the Anytype custom selector mode.

  • Place your cursor
  • Menu pops up at the bottom
  • Press the button second-from-right (two squares)
  • You enter select mode
  • Select multiple blocks with single press
  • You can then Move, Turn Into, or Copy all selected blocks

I have the same issue as OP.

Mentioned feature from @Oshyan does not appear to be available in my case.

Anytype version: 0.4.4-alpha
Android version: 10 (OxygenOS 10.0.1)

I also do not have this feature — seems to have been removed?

Feature #1 is available in Anytype version 0.6.0 for Android as Oshyan mentioned.

You can select multiple blocks by either:

  1. Holding a block and subsequently tapping more blocks to select them, or,
  2. Place your cursor
    • Menu pops up at the bottom
    • Press the button second-from-right (two squares)
    • You enter select mode
    • Select multiple blocks with single press

You can then apply an action to all selected blocks:

  • Delete (not to bin!)
  • Style
  • Duplicate
  • Move (up/down on page)
  • Move to (another object)

@bzimor can you/we therefore mark this topic as solved?

@wemiprog I think your request to share from Anytype on Android to other apps is great! I don’t think there is an existing feature request for this, so would you be able to create a FR? (please double check whether you can find a similar FR, I might not have used all the right earch terms when searching)
