WHAT IS THE BUG
Logging in on a new device gives the same error message every time
HOW TO REPRODUCE IT
Install any build (I tried with the new beta build, but also the public releases) on windows or linux (either appImage or debian package)
Insert the keychain passphrase
Wait a long time and then the error message appears
THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
I expected to be able to access my data
Debian and Windows 11
0.28.0 (and 0.27.21beta, 0.27.35beta)
Does not log in to the iOS app - #6 by Flip
I have the same issue.
OS: macOS Monterey v 12.2.1
Device: Desktop, MacBook Pro 13inch-M1, 2020
Anytype Version: 0.28 (or 0.27, tried that too)
There still is an error with the server.
You could try login without internet. If that’s not working, waiting for the server is the only option unfortunately.

Me too. Same error on other device (Android and Windows 10). In my case, anytype only works on the device where the invitation was accepted.
For my, on both my laptop and (new) tablet still get the error sadly
It seems that 90%+ of my notes synced and I can log in with v0.28 in use.
Now for some reason Anytype isn’t syncing anymore. Might this be related?

@Ishaan as from what I can surmise the recently problematic backup node is only impacting some accounts.
For example, I maintain two accounts, one for demo/testing and one for personal. My demo account has 3 objects which won’t sync, my personal account is 100% functional. I cleared cache and logged out of both to confirm my suspicion.
Maintenance is underway by our Infrastructure Team, so I hope to update soon with some positive news!

Edit: A fresh installation of Anytype fixed the sync problem for me!

Seems like I got the short end of the stick hehe.
What is the status for this? For me sync has been realy and I mean realy bad the past 1.5 days!
Both on my laptop as well as Android tablet (though android tablet seems to sync a bit more but not all). The error seems to be gone but sync totally doesn’t work sadly. And yes, I did a fresh instal, removed the /anytype2/data folder, kept my laptop/anytype on for hours on end today.
