Hello Doohah,

Thank you for the reporting!
I found your crash feedback in Appstore Connect but I don’t see any log in it.
Can you please check the following info?

  1. Go to Settings / Privacy & Security / Analytics & Improvements
  2. Check that is iPhone & Watch Analytics is on
  3. Open Analytics Data and try to find by anytype crash log and send it to me - joe_pusya@anytype.io

Thanks in advance,
Ann

Hello Ann,

Thank you for your support regarding this issue. I’ve forwarded three separate emails to you, each containing a crash log. Please check and inform me if there’s anything else required.

Furthermore, could you guide me on how to retrieve crash logs from an Android device?

Thanks,
Doohah

Thanks a lot! I received your crashes - working on it.
I will ask my android colleague, if they need more detail - they will contact you :ok_hand:

You’re very welcome! I’m glad you received the crash reports. Feel free to reach out if you need any further details or assistance. If your Android colleague has any questions, I’ll be ready and available to help.

it’s better… or almost.

Pre-migration version: no crashes (not used much, but a few hours anyway)

yesterday’s version (sorry, I don’t know which one): immediate crash on opening, everything frozen and not just AT, all Android, forced reboot of the smartphone.

Version updated just now : I had time to open a page, check items on a list (going on vacation ::slight_smile: then the dram: freeze and reboot

Hello,
I’ve updated to version 0.23.1(1) and the crash issue persists. However, after uninstalling and then reinstalling Anytype 0.23.1(1), the app seems to be functioning properly as it’s loading data from the cloud without any crashes so far. Let’s see if the crash reoccurs.

Uninstalling, reinstalling (Google Play), open, crash :frowning: .
Device : Huawei P30, OS EMUI 12 (Android 11)

I’ll look at how to get the crahs log in 1 week (unavailable before then, sorry).

Hello,
I’ve tested and found the crashes still occur while using Anytype.

@Doohah, thanks for reporting. please check if it is reproduced for you on the latest Android release - 0.24.5?

It still doesn’t work for me.

@Doohah, could you add video to the post?

Hello Eugene,

I suspected there might be compatibility issues with Huawei devices since Notion doesn’t seem to function well on them either. Because of this, I switched to an iPhone for a smoother experience with Anytype and Notion.

As for the latest version, I can’t even open Anytype on my Huawei device. Could it be a Google service issue, similar to what’s happening with Notion?

Did you install your Anytype Android from Google Play or did you download it directly from download.anytype.io? Consider installing different apks from our website, that might work for you. Let us know! Thanks
