It’s not possible to rename any file as far as I know. So this should probably be a more broad/general feature request.

I can’t rename files, I have to download a file, rename it in OS and then reupload it to do so.

I would like to be able to long click (android) or right click (windows) on a file (PDF for exemple) and rename it.
Describe alternatives you’ve considered
None I can think of.

Renaming files would be very helpful. Especially if they have cryptic names.

When I copy and paste an image, such as a screenshot into a page it creates an Image object with a default name of “image.png”. I can right click the block and click open object. From that Image Object screen I cannot rename the object from image.png to somethingmeaningful.png
I am not 100% sure if this is a feature request or a bug that I cannot rename the image object.

I would like to be able to rename the Image object after pasting it. Either from the main editor screen or from the Image Object screen.
This would be useful in situations where I might want to refer to the same object in another page for example.
Describe alternatives you’ve considered
I save the screenshot with an external tool as a png file with a meaningful and then upload that manually however that is many more steps/clicks to achieve a simple rename of an image i’m pasting into Anytype.

For context this is how I am navigating to the Image object where I would like to rename it.
This is the resulting image.png object that I cannot rename or modify

Hopefully renaming files will come. Need to rename about 100 images xD

I’d like to be able to RENAME the image files I have placed in Anytype. Currently after taking a screenshot on my desktop and putting it in Anytype, the image is displayed with the title “Image.png”. I can not change this title.
Also I noticed it is not possible to add relations to images.

Pilling up on this, plenty of cryptic named PDFs that are hard to search for in my case.
