It’s annoying that I have to scroll to the bottom of the Types list in the Store menu to reach the custom Types I created.
Describe the solution you’d like
I think it’d be better from a UX perspective if the types I created are higher in the Store list than the types included with the program. So maybe have a header right below the “Create a new type” button like “Types You Made” with all the types the user makes and below that “Types We Made” and have all the default ones like Action Plans, Articles, Books, whatever.
The default ones are Alphabetically sorted so I think yes, If I create one from scratch, with a letter ‘B’ it should pop up with B. That will be more organized, I feel
@abheek I feel like that would just lead me to creating a type with a name like “1 Television shows” to put it at the top of the list, so I wouldn’t have to scroll past all this stuff I’m never gonna use like Daily Reflections or Diary Entries.
I’m not a fan of mixing types I create with Anytype created types, assuming that’s what you’re arguing for.

Currently, the default type list/relationship is pretty long, and I don’t think a lot of users are gonna be using all of these types in their workspace, which is a bit overwhelming, creates a lot of clutter and hides your customized (and probably preferred over the default anytype one’s) types at the bottom of the list and not visible.
Describe the solution you’d like
At least, have the possibility to have the list sorted by the types you most used, to have your favorites types at the top.
At best, have the list grouped by “favorites” / “used in workspace” / “add additional types to workspace” (for the one you didn’t yet used). So only the types you really care are at the top of the list. The types in which there are no objects are all at the bottom so you don’t have always all of them in front of you (but you see it if you want to extend your usage).
I think the same could be applicable to the “Relation” tab, which is even more overwhelming by having a lot of items you didn’t created yourself and not knowing which you you actually use.
Don’t hesitate if you have better suggestions and again, thanks for all your hard work !
There are a few threads suggesting some sort of clearing up of this tab and I aggree. The best would that we are able to customize it as we wish. (create tabs where we order the types/relations).
I accidentally created another thread on the same subject, I’m merging here my proposal.

@Pretzel Well if you do have them alphabetical, you will have the muscle memory to scroll over everything and go for the one you are looking for. But I do where you are coming from. Maybe they can add ‘search’ for within the types.
I believe that both the type and relation screens should get filter and sorting options. As many in this topic already suggested. Mainly because it will become overwelming fast, seeing how many types and specially relations a workspace can have.
I red on this forum, or it was mentioned in the onboading, that they want this “Story” to be a community features. Where you can browse and find types and more that the community made. Even paid options.
So based on this information there should be filter/sorting options. Perhaps even tabs where you can browse by topic/tags.
But most importantly, I think we should be able to pin, sort and show only those in my workspace and that I created to keep things clean.
I woul like the option to create some kind of types ‘folder’ in the UI, so you can group types which shares something in common, so it will be more easy to find the type you want.
An example of this coul be a media folder, and there you will store books, movies, games and tv series types. Another could be work folder, and will have meeting notes, project, etc.
It doesn’t need to be actually stored inside, it will be just for a better organization of the UI, in order to better locate the type you want.
A way for users to set their custom-created Types, Objects, and Relations as “public” — which could be accessed by other users via a new tab in the Library — would also be very cool!
