Objects do not inherit preselected tag values (or linked objects) from templates

Hello! My apologies if this is a duplicate — I was unable to find the original post.

The Bug

Please watch the video above.

As you can see, the tag (“Other Type”) within the template, has a preselected value: “Design/Graphics.”
In the video, the created object looks precisely the same as the template, but the tag values are blank — meaning they need to be (re)selected.

This (from my experience) will occur with any template: the tag values will need to be selected, even if the template already has them selected.

To Reproduce

  1. Create an object template
  2. Ensure the template has a tag relation
  3. Provide a preselected value for the tag (i.e. do not leave blank)
  4. Create an object with the template
The object will follow the template — except in selecting values for any tags.

*Edit: objects do not inherit preselected “Linked Objects” either.

Expected Behavior
When an object is created using a template, it looks exactly the same as the template.
Values set for any tags in the template, will also be set for any objects using the template.

OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home (Version 10.0.19042)
Anytype Version 0.21.1
