@Mention Profile

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND

The ability to tag/mention myself.

I’m surprised this one’s left out, since everything is supposed to be an object and this is one of our first pre-made objects once we sign up for an account.

HOW COULD IT BE DONE

The user’s profile name/page should show up when it is typed after the “@” symbol.

REAL WORLD USE CASES

When writing posts with credits, it’s only natural to link the pages/objects of the people involved. (Like authors, attendees, contributors, etc.) It’d be great if I can also tag myself, so that my name links to my profile page, like how the others’ link to my contacts.

RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

Create another profile page. (Makes the new one taggable and the old one redundant.)

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

I saw in this post that profiles could go public. Considering this FR, this makes sense, but I believe some privacy settings should be included. Choose which infos are viewable (general info, could be fixed/locked relations) and which ones stay private. (preferably everything else) This way, I wouldn’t have to worry about exposing personal info once collaboration is introduced and I’m mentioned in a shared/published page. (Example is a page about a collaborative project where people are tagged.)
