WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND
Map view of visited places or locations related to journal entries.
This is a common feature in journaling apps and one that I’ll miss when I move my journal entries to Anytype.
HOW COULD IT BE DONE
A new view where set entries with locations are seen in an embedded map.
A pin locator icon or a cover photo (in the case of journal entries) goes on top of the location. Places without specific coordinates can be placed in the middle of the city or country.
A number on the top-right of the photo/emoji indicates how many objects/entries are assigned in that location.
REAL WORLD USE CASES
Besides a useful journaling view, other use cases would be:
- Checking the location of your contacts
- Documenting places where you can buy supplies
- Location view of entries in a research set
- View of places to check out when traveling
RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES
None.
ADDITIONAL CONTEXT
Similar to Locate objects on a Map view, but I created it as a separate request because I don’t think it’s necessary to add graph links and have specific coordinates. I imagine there’d be instances where I can only input the city name or country instead of the exact address, and I’d still want to register it as a location object/relation and see it in Map View. (But feel free to merge if it’s too similar.)
