Log In into a different device results in perpetual loading

I am using the Windows Desktop app at my work computer without issue. I’m trying to log into my home desktop, and upon trying to log in, I’m stuck in a perpetual loading screen.

Desktop

OS: Windows 11, Version 21H2 (OS Build 22000. 120)

Device:

Processor Intel(R) Core™ i5-9600K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz

Installed RAM 32.0 GB

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

I did note the app diagnostics you can do, but I get an error:

I also can’t give my AnytypeID - nothing happens when I click on it (I can give the one at my work PC, as Anytype works great there).

I do not have any traffic blockers, proxies. I can run a VPN at my work computer, I see when I create an object that it will display a green synced status there.

This might be because of Windows 11 I guess. As it’s still in Beta, it might have some issues with Anytype :man_shrugging:

Was it the same when you were on Windows 10? @Ayanokouji

@Ayanokouji

It’s because you’re in PowerShell, try running it in CMD or Git Bash

Alternatively (if you wish to continue in PS):

(set "ANYTYPE_LOG_LEVEL=*=DEBUG") -and (start C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Programs\anytype2\Anytype.exe)

Do you have any apps restricting network? Firewall, Traffic-blockers, Proxies?

Sometimes the Windows Defender policies can be too strict
