Linux RPM builds missing since V0.32.*

WHAT IS THE BUG

In version 0.31.* and below, I could download an .rpm version of the anytype program. This is no longer possible since the newly improved 0.32.*.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Visit https://download.anytype.io/
  2. Click on Linux
  3. See that there is no option to download RPM builds anymore

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

I expected the RPM build to be there next to the other Linux options.

SYSTEM INFORMATION

Device: X64 pc
OS: Fedora 38
Anytype: 0.32.3

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

It might be that there has been an intentional decision to deprecate RPM builds, however I could not find anything about this, hence I considered this a bug.

If this was indeed the case, it would be a real shame in my opinion.

I checked and the team must have decided to quite making RPM builds of the Anytype app. I realize that this probably would be less-than-preferable for you (since you’re using Fedora). This isn’t necessarily a bug, but it might be worth considering to make a feature request about this instead.

I think they just aren’t ready yet, but let’s see what our devs say.

This report has been added to our issue tracker and received by the Development Team.

RPM stopped building with unknown error several versions ago, so there is no particular answer to this. I will try to build it again with Electron 25 but for the moment it is removed from the pipeline.
