Invite Code never worked. First time installation

[EDIT 23.12.21] - The Code works, though I had to disable the firewall (exceptions were not going through). In case you have a VPN check that too.

Describe the bug
Invite Code is not working

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. After the installation, I open the app
  2. Click on ‘Sign Up’
  3. Enter my user name of choice
  4. Enter the invite code
  5. Error message appears ‘Invite code is invalid’

Expected behavior
Get into the login

System Information:

  • OS: windows 10
  • Device Manufacturer/Model: e.g. HP Pavilion Laptop
  • Anytype Version: e.g. 0.22.3

that should not happen can you reply on the email and we can check

exactly. should not happen and there is no tech reason i can think of (client-side) to solve it.

Solved in DM

Invitation code redemption goes through internet, so everything that might blocking this connection might lead to an error. We will change the app exceptions for an invitation code, cause now network problems might be seen as “wrong invitation code”
