Icon colors for legacy vs new app are confusing on Desktop vs Android

WHAT IS THE BUG

On the desktop the new app has an icon in color, while the legacy app has a grey icon (logical if you want to indicate the legacy version is “inactive”). On Android, the legacy app has the same “old” icon, while the new app has a blue-ish icon, which might look like the grey icon on Desktop.

I can imagine there are limitations on Android to what extent you can change icons of installed apps, but I’d rather see some other distinction than color, like an addition to the existing icon (dot/star/label) than different colors if it is not possible to match the color scheme across platforms.
