Hidden Taskbar Won't Appear

Describe the bug

On Windows 10, if you enable automatic taskbar hiding, the taskbar will show only when you move the pointer to the bottom of the screen. Though, it will not work as expected in Anytype until certain steps are taken, see ‘Additional context’ for more info.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

    1. Make sure the taskbar is hidden.
    1. Launch Anytype.
    1. Move the pointer to the bottom of the screen to show the taskbar.
    1. It will not work. Instead, the mouse pointer will turn into a resizing cursor.

Expected behavior

The taskbar should appear when I am in Anytype and move the pointer to the bottom of the screen.

Desktop

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Version: 0.17.0

Additional context

If you click and hold Anytype’s window, move it, then snap it back to its original place, the taskbar will work as expected. Maximizing the Anytype window breaks it as well but clicking the maximize button (restore down) again fixes it.

I cannot reproduce this on Windows 11 with Anytype for Windows 0.25.0.

@BGray could you give this another try with the latest version?

I can’t, I don’t have a computer with Windows installed at the moment.
