Gnome's "New Window" is opening a new instance instead of a new window

WHAT IS THE BUG

Using Linux and Gnome. There is a quite well known extension called “Dash to dock”. It’s used by at least the PopOS! distro by default. Right clicking on the Anytype icon gives the option open a “new window”. This actually opens another (not logged in) instance of Anytype.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Use “Dash to Dock” or use PopOS!
  2. Have Anytype running
  3. Right click on the icon in the dock
  4. Select “New Window”

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

I would expect to use Anytype’s way of a second window instead of a new instance

SYSTEM INFORMATIONS

  • OS:
    Linux (PopOS!)
  • Anytype Version:
    0.29.0

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

This is just a minor issue, but still something users will report sometime.

The “New window” option is gone. So this report seems obsolete.
