Not sure if this should be a bug report or feature request, so I’m happy to recreate the topic elsewhere if needed. I looked for previous reports of this, but “find” and “search” are obviously commonly used words, so please let me know if this is a duplicate.
WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND
Using the shortcut “find on page” currently only brings up the search bar and does not remove any text from the previous search.
I think it would be helpful from a UX standpoint to remove/clear the previous text that was searched in the search bar, to start a fresh search.
HOW COULD IT BE DONE
Every time you use the “find on page” shortcut, the previous query is cleared and the search bar appears empty.
REAL WORLD USE CASES
This prevents people from experiencing the annoyance of having to use CMD+A and delete (I use Mac) to clear their previous search. It’s one additional step for the user.
