# Faster object creation from mobile (from 6 to 2 taps)

#### WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND

This request is about drastically shortening the time and work needed to create a new object from the `+` button on the navigation bar on mobile.

The current flow is:

1. Tap the `+` button in the navigation bar =\> a blank object is displayed, with the “change type” section collapsed
2. Tap “Change type”
3. Tap the desired type =\> a blank object of the desired type is displayed, with the “Type has X templates” modal visible
4. Tap “show” in the modal to see the templates available
5. Swipe right until the right template
6. Tap “use template” =\> you are finally ready to start working on the object

Instead, the flow should be:

1. Tap the `+` button in the navigation bar =\> a blank object is displayed with the “change type” section _expanded_ (all types are already visible)
2. Tap the desired type =\> a new object with the _default template already applied_ is displayed, with the “Type has X templates” modal visible in case the user needs a different template than the default one.

#### HOW COULD IT BE DONE

Keep the exact same screens and designs, simply change the flow and order.

The “Change type” not being auto-expanded is a bug iirc, and the default templates should also auto-apply on mobile with the next template update iirc as well.

Hey! In addition to what @Filip said, we’re introducing a new method for quickly creating objects of different types. Just long-press the plus button, and a menu will appear where you can choose the specific type. The MVP of this feature will be included in the upcoming iOS release, followed by Android at a later stage.

Nice that looks awesome!

And to clarify, after tapping on a type, what is displayed is the default template?
