I believe this topic is related as this older request:

> As referenced in [Layout as a Type with templates](https://community.anytype.io/t/layout-as-a-type-with-templates/4768) I would like a Tree-object. Although the graph is amazing, a hierarchy or tree might come in handy as well. An object could be linked to or used in multiple tree-objects. You would also have to state which object is the parent (the tree or some other object within the tree). You could use a tree-object as a table of contents on a page. This could be created automatically based upon the headings. You could use a tree-object in navigation. I don’t…

Side note:
As I previously mentioned, I believe tree graph is possible if we implement relation with logic assignment.

> Another benefit or relation is that they can be used in different manners when they are retrieved differently. Taking [Excalibrain plugin in Obsidian](https://github.com/zsviczian/excalibrain) as an example:
>
> - When given logic of relations, it is possible to ask graph to display the relation in a certain way.
> - We can infer or assign nature of relation/link as parent/child to display the object in a lower position. This way users can create their own [tree hierarchy](https://community.anytype.io/t/a-tree-object-for-hierarchical-navigation/4777) if they need so.
> – Anytype could explore more connection logic or even allow users to self-define connection manner by allowing users to allocate objects by direction, axes, middle object (for via logic) and [missing relation](https://community.anytype.io/t/type-relation-to-represent-missing-relation/8643).
> – Sidebar would be a good place to change graph setting to see how relations changes dynamically when relation changes its display format.
