"Due date is today" filter only shows tasks which are due tomorrow

WHAT IS THE BUG

When I create a new task set view with the filter “Due today is today”, the corresponding view only shows tasks which are due tomorrow.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Create a new set of tasks on Desktop
  2. Add some tasks with due dates assigned to them
  3. Create a new view with the filter “Due today” - “Is today”

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Show only tasks which are due today, not tasks which are due tomorrow

I have this problem on Mac OS with a filter as today and it will show tasks that are originally due as yesterday, as today.

This basic issue has stopped me from using Anytype and this issue has been reported a month ago. Due task dates don’t work.

Can you please advise when the update will be released?

Thanks
Ash.

The date filter is off by one day. Just filter the dates by yesterday and it’ll show you the dates for today.

This seems to be fixed on desktop, but still not working correctly on Android. I’ve checked all the filters and they are all set correctly. It seems like all the filter dates are off by one. So if you filter by today, you get stuff from tomorrow and if you filter by after today, you get stuff after tomorrow instead.

Ok, I will move this issue to @AndroidTeam

Before I do, @isle9 have you updated to 0.13.1? It’s available in google playstore.

I`ve somehow missed this.

Seems like the bug is still there in 0.14.

Any updates on this issue? I just double checked and it’s still there for me on the same version. The issue doesn’t seem to be tagged in progress or anything else, in fact.

WHAT IS THE BUG

Task Tracker shows invalid tasks for a filter on phone.
See image below, where a filter is for “Due date: Today”, but it shows a task scheduled for tomorrow.

This does not happen on the Mac app for the exact same view:

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

Cannot provide exact steps to reproduce, I don’t know how to trigger this behavior on the phone, but currently when I added new task for test (this is the default Task Tracker Set created by the app itself), on the mac it works fine (not visible in Today), but on Phone it is:

vs the PC:
CleanShot 2023-08-14 at 08.05.20
and image to confirm that this task is there, but for tomorrow:
CleanShot 2023-08-14 at 08.05.34

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The filter works on the Phone app as it works on the Mac app

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

  • I looked for this bug in search, but I found that it was marked as solved few months ago, tho I am still facing it here.
  • the widgets are behaving in the same way. Working fine on the Mac with Todays filter selected, and being wrong on the phone with the same filter selected.

SYSTEM INFORMATION

  • Device:
    iPhone 14 Pro
  • OS:
    iOS 16.6
  • Anytype Version:
    v.0.23.4
    Library version: v0.27.15

Putting a bit more info to the above:

How To Reproduce It:

I am able to reproduce this constantly when creating the task on the PC and syncing it to the Mobile:
Scenario 1:

  • create a new Task on the PC, give it a Tomorrow date
  • open the Mobile app, see the Task with proper date (tomorrow), but being visible on a view with filter “within today”

Scenario 2:

  • create a new Task on the PC, give it a Today date
  • open the Mobile app, see the Task with proper date (today), but not being visible on a view with a filter “within today”

So, it kind of looks like reverse, if I give the task tomorrow’s date, it will show on the filtered table for today’s tasks. But if I will give it a today’s date, it will show on a table where I have “within week”, but not “within today” filter applied.

This is fixable by changing the Due Date on the mobile app to a different and back to the desired one (today).

I just experienced this when creating a set of daily notes. Filtered by (on or after current week) but it doesn’tshow todays note, only starting from tomorrow. (Working as expected on macOS - but not on iOS…)
