Deleting and Typing with Emojis (via Ctrl + E) takes awhile

Describe the bug
If users try to insert the same emoji consecutively, it will only appear in the first and fourth attempt.

Deleting emoji (from Ctrl+E) takes awhile, regardless of it being a repeated emoji or not.

Insertion point (or cursor) looks out of place when typing. It won’t let the user visually go to the end of the text.

To Reproduce

  1. Ctrl+E and select the same emoji consecutively.
  2. Try typing and deleting.

Expected behavior

Clicking on the same emoji 4 times (from the CTRL+E pop-up) should show 4 emojis in the editor.
1 backspace should be enough to delete 1 emoji.

System Information:

  • OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Single Language
  • Device Manufacturer/Model: Acer Aspire VX5-591G
  • Anytype Version: 0.20.9

Additional context

Using Winkey + period(.) for Windows, and Ctrl + Cmd + Spacebar for Mac should do fine if users need to insert emojis.

(PS. Increase the video playback below to 1.25 or 5 to save time.)

@WhereisJ9 Thank you for your notice! We haven’t implemented this yet, but plan to do that in the future

A post was merged into an existing topic: Emoji picker / selection frame glitch

This is still present on 0.29.0. Deletion seems to work fine, but adding basically does not work. Also, the cursor is placed at the far right after adding an emoji instead of placing the cursor directly after the emoji…

This issue has been added to our issue tracker and was received by the Development Team.

This works fine for me in v0.31. What do you think @sambouwer?

Nope, still present for me in 0.31.1…
