Debian download link in invitation email points to an .exe, not a .deb

WHAT IS THE BUG

The alpha Program invitation email contains the wrong link, apparently, for debian downloads.

When I click it in Chrome, nothing happens. When I click it in firefox, I get Anytype%20Setup%200.31.51.exe, which does not seem to be a debian package.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. join the alpha program
  2. get an email titled " Anytype Alpha Program: You’re In!"
  3. click the “Linux - Debian” link
  4. if you’re in chrome, nothing happens
  5. if you’re in firefox, you get something that is apparently the windows installation file.

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

I expect, in either browser, to download a .deb package.

SYSTEM INFORMATION

Ubuntu 20.04, Chrome 130.

Same issue here. An exe file is downloaded when I click on debian button in email.

My system specs are same as yours, just the browser is Vivaldi instead of chrome.

Hey @micklat and @Awais , thanks for alerting.

I’ve just DM’d you the correct link for the Debian build links.

Cheers,

Can I please get the links for .deb and .rpm?

Sure @Anfeald! For the legacy version they are below:

https://at9412003.fra1.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/anytype2_0.31.0_amd64.deb
https://at9412003.fra1.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/anytype2-0.31.0.x86_64.rpm

Note: The above builds are for the legacy version of Anytype. If you were recently onboarded as a Beta type or are part of the Nightly Ops group please do not use these links as they are not the builds you are looking for.
